About me

Teresa Shapiro

Teresa is originally from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.  Like so many Austin residents, Teresa and her husband relocated to Austin to attend the University of Texas, fell in love with the area, and settled here.

Teresa received two Bachelor’s degrees and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin.  She confesses to being a proud and loyal supporter of the Texas Longhorns. HookEm!

Teresa started her practice in North Central Austin in 2020.  She expanded her practice into Williamson County and now offices in Round Rock.  Her practice has been devoted to serving the elderly, the disabled, and their caregivers for over twenty years. She has a special affection for this sector of the population and seeks to provide personalized and comprehensive assistance.

Teresa believes that giving back to the community is essential!  She currently is on the Advisory Board of Assistance League of Georgetown, the Board of Directors of Faith in Action Georgetown, Co-Chair of Programs for the American Association of University Women, volunteers for the CanLaw Section of the Austin Bar.

Teresa is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Travis and Williamson County Bar Association, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and the Professional Woman of Williamson County.

Whenever possible, Teresa enjoys spending time crocheting, walking in natural areas with her dachshunds, Bonnie and Clyde, discussing the current selection with her book clubs, and visiting with her two daughters, her son, and her grandchildren.
